What is GRAIL?
GRAIL is a watch-dealing strategy game in development. You run a virtual business: find watches, negotiate prices, sell for profit, and grow into new markets.
Can I play now?
Not yet. Our planned launch is January 2028. Become a founding dealer for development updates and news about playtesting opportunities.
Is GRAIL free to play?
Yes. GRAIL will be free to play. Joining the waitlist is free too.
Do I buy real watches or use real money?
No. The game features real watch models, but all trades and profits are virtual. You don’t buy or receive a physical watch.
Do I need to know a lot about watches?
No collection—or expert knowledge—required. Bring your curiosity. You’ll learn what makes a watch desirable and a deal worth taking as you play.
How does multiplayer work?
The first-release plan combines computer-run dealers with shared player rankings. You can build your business at your own pace. Direct player trading and live auctions are planned for later.
Are the prices based on the real market?
Real-world watch values are the planned starting point, with dealer offers and in-game demand shaping individual deals. The examples on this page use sample prices.
What happens when I become a founding dealer?
Your email goes to the GRAIL team. We’ll share development updates and opportunities to give feedback and help shape the game. Joining doesn’t give you immediate game access. You can ask us to remove your details at [email protected].
